Juan Manuel Marquez has fought Manny Pacquiao four times already so his opinion on any boxing fight involving the Filipino should be taken quite seriously. In one interview, the Mexican opined that he thinks the “Pacman” will win via knockout in his next fight against American Chris Algieri.

Pacquiao will face Algieri at the Venetian Casino & Resort in Macau on November 22, 2014 for the World Boxing Organization welterweight title.

"He barely has a chance to win. Algieri is strong and he's durable. He also has boxing ability, as he's show against Ruslan Provodnikov-- but he doesn't have the style to beat Pacquiao, who has great speed and power. I believe that [Pacquiao] can win by knockout,” said Marquez via boxingscene.com.

Marquez knows about KOs; he delivered a stunning one against Pacquiao in the sixth round of their fourth match-up on December 12, 2012 when he sent the Filipino to oblivion with a single shot that virtually decided the winner of their rivalry.

Marquez is not without basis in describing Algieri as “strong and durable” after all he had a very successful kickboxing before shifting to a career in boxing, where he is undefeated in 20 bouts so far. Pacquiao has a record of 56-6-2 with 38 of the wins not going to the distance.

Algieri is not among the top fighters in the boxing landscape—or even in his division-- but the 30-year-old American did deliver the victory over Ruslan Provodnikov, who was the favourite before the split decision victory by Algieri last June 16, 2014.

Algieri is again the underdog against Pacquiao come November and sportsbooks have currently priced him at around 7.50 underdog to win the fight.

"That is fine by me. That is on paper. And on paper I am not supposed to win. Championships are won on intangibles, not on paper,” Algieri said to The Sweet Science.

"Not to mention we are three and half months away. Those odds will tighten up as the world sees my hard work and dedication."

The betting odds— with Pacquiao as 1.06 favourites—also agree with Marquez’s take on the fight: Pacquiao will win against Algieri with a knockout as a big possibility.
