Love is not really as easy as riding into the sunset. Even celebrities go through thuds and thumps in their relationship at some point. For the nth time, it was reported that Maria Sharapova and Grigor Dimitrov's relationship is in trouble that it even led to the tennis couple unfollowing each other on social media.

According to Tennisworldusa.org, Sharapova and Dimitrov might be dealing with a rough patch in their relationship that they both unfollowed each other on Twitter.

Both Sharapova and Dimitrov have built a significant story following on Twitter, but they do not follow a whole lot of people so it is pretty much easy to find out who the people they are following on the social networking platform. Sharapova and Dimitrov follow 60 and 64 Twitter users, respectively, and neither one was on each other's following list. It is unclear whether Sharapova and Dimitrov unfollowed each other just recently or if they were not really following each other since they got together.

This would not be the first time that Sharapova and Dimitrov were often blasted with rumours about relationship problems in the past. Just last February, it was also reported that the pair were having issues with their union.

Sharapova and Dimitrov are currently in New York City. Both athletes and participants in the 2014 US Open. Sharapova is seeded fifth in the women's draw, while Dimitrov is seeded eighth.

Sharapova, who won the 2006 US Open, will begin her campaign at the Ashe Stadium against compatriot Maria Kirilenko in the first round. Sharapova missed the tournament last year due to an injured shoulder. She is looking to win her sixth Grand Slam title and her second Grand Slam title in 2014, after winning the Roland Garros last May.

Dimitrov, on the other hand, will be competing in the bottom half of the men's singles draw. He was drawn in Roger Federer's quarter, which means that he could face the Swiss athlete and number two seed in the fourth round, given that he plays good tennis and advances in the tournament. The Bulgarian athlete has no progress that pass the first round of the tournament. He was ousted by Portugal's Joao Sousa in the first round of the 2013 US Open. Dimitrov will play against 184th-ranked American, Ryan Harrison.
