Marilyn Monroe 'Sex' Film to Hit the Auction Block
A Spanish memorabilia collector is set to auction printed photos of a film allegedly starring a young Norma Jean, aka Marilyn Monroe, showing her having sex with an unknown man.
The auctioneers of the six-minute 8-mm film claim that Monroe was having sex with the man when she was still an underage actress.
The auction is scheduled on Aug. 7 and will be held at the Borges Cultural Center in Buenos Aires.
"Knowing how many Marilyn fanatics are out there, the film could easily sell for a million dollars," the event organizer, Mikel Barsa told reporters in a news conference, according to Agence France Presse.
Barsa is selling only the print taken from the film, which reportedly had been kept by a Spanish film collector. The decision to sell the still photos came after the collector’s death, and his family wanted to cash in on what is expected to be a pricy possession.
Monroe died of overdose sleeping pills in 1962 at age 36.
