It has been years since Khloe Kardashian's stint as a co-host on "The X-Factor," but Mario Lopez was painfully asked to explain his experience working with Khloe Kardashian and he admitted to having no choice but to just accept what the management wanted at the time.

A lot of people were surprised Khloe Kardashian was invited to co-host "The X-Factor," considering she had no experience working as one. It did not end well for Khloe, who was not renewed as a host for the second season, but Mario's voice on that issue is unheard until now.

In his interview with Howard Stern, Mario Lopez was asked about his experience working with Khloe Kardashian as a co-host in the now cancelled Fox show. Asked if the experience was painful, Mario has nothing personally bad to say of the E! reality star and youngest Kardashian sister though. He shared that it was obvious that Khloe needed more experience to pull the stint off, but it was not something that Khloe did not admit herself. In fact, Mario lauded Khloe's honesty about her inexperience.

"She was very cool in a sense that [she said,] 'You know Mario I'm absolutely green and I'm gonna lean on you.' And I was like, 'Don't worry, I got your back,'" the former host shared. Mario, however, let on that he knew that it was a publicity stunt but he had no choice to accept the management's decision.

"I get [the producers'] thinking, obviously, that the whole family is extremely popular and strikes a chord one way or another," Mario said. "What are you gonna do Howard, I'm not the one making those decisions." The former "Saved by the Bell" star clarified, however, that he really had no qualms rolling with the management's decision.

The show did not fare well on the ratings game, though. Shortly after Khloe left, the show had a run of three seasons before being axed for dismal ratings. The UK version is still thriving, however, with outspoken Simon Cowell as a judge.
