Mark those calendars and count with pins and needles as pop rock band Maroon 5 is coming back to Australia for another round of tour.

The group gave an unforgettable performance last year when they visit the Land Down Under. Mushroom Group Promotions announced yesterday that the three time Grammy award-winning band will play in Sydney and Melbourne for two exclusive shows in October.

Australia-based band, Evermore, and Las Vegas three-piece, The Cab, will be joining Maroon 5 for its two shows.

Maroon 5's popularity has grown greatly since their last Australian tour. This is due to lead singer Adam Levines' role on the American version of The Voice.

The band's latest hits include "Payphone" featuring American rapper Wiz Khalifa and "Moves Like Jagger" (featuring Christina Aguilera), which saw the band nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance and win the 2012 People's Choice Award for Favourite Band.

Performance Dates

October 12 - Melbourne, Rod Laver Arena

October 13 - Sydney, Entertainment Centre
