"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." is only two episodes away from its "astonishing" and epic finale which will reveal the future of S.H.I.E.L.D. and its agents. But before that there is a lot more to know. Fans of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." can expect to go back in time and unravel the secrets and history of those involved in the war. Last week, Skye discovered Ward's secret and that he was playing the role of a traitor, who infiltrated S.H.I.E.L.D. on orders of HYDRA. With another person turning into a betrayer, S.H.I.E.L.D. is left with very few to trust. Slowly crumbling down to its death, Coulson's organization and its remaining agents must stop Ward and Garrett from accomplishing their evil goal.

Shifting its focus a little, "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Episode 21 titled "Ragtag" will center on the history of Ward and whatever led to his acts of betraying the organization. Fans will discover more about Garrett and Ward's association.

According to the synopsis of the penultimate episode of the show by SpoilerTV, "Ragtag" will reveal the reasons behind "Ward's betrayal," and why he was recruited as HYDRA agent. Recently posted clip from "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Episode 21 shows Ward in jail, convicted for a murder. Fifteen years ago, Ward is rescued from the jail after HYDRA's agent strikes a deal with him. He offers him his freedom, if Ward agrees to work for the "secret organization," Garrett works for. For more, the episode will also reveal HYDRA's "shocking secrets." Phil Coulson and his team will take on an "undercover mission" in order to stop Ward and Garrett. But will they come out of it alive? The synopsis suggests, the mission will be so dangerous that it will leave no one "unscathed."

According to Fansided spoilers report, May and Coulson are penetrating an organization called Cybertek Corporation. This can get them to HYDRA's secrets. Agents meet up with two researchers showing them their innovations. Assisting May and Coulson in their mission are Fitz and Simmons. Meanwhile show's producers Jeffery Bell and Jeph Loeb spilled out some spoilers about the final two episodes of "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D," as reported by Comicbookmovie.com. Speaking to TV Guide, the producers told that not all the characters will survive the war with HYDRA.

"It's a 'who survives?' story and much more," teases Jeph Loeb while speaking to the publication.

Speaking about episode 21 "Ragtag" which focuses on Ward's past, he says that Ward may be a "good man who was programmed to be bad or a triple agent secretly working for Coulson all along." The producer hints that by the end of it all, fans will be able to decide for themselves. Also, fans can look forward to find out more about Skye's "true parentage."
