"Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 2 is almost a month away and spoilers and details have now begun to surface. Even the showrunners are talking about the second instalment of the franchise giving out slight hints at the plot. Fans know that not only will the old characters return but the show will also introduce some new characters. "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 2 will see the return of Clark Gregg's Phil Coulson, who is now the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Fans know that show will also bring back Chloe Bennet's Skye, Ming-Na Wen's Melinda May, Brett Dalton's Grant Ward and others.

During the San Diego Comic Con, it was revealed that the show will include four new characters. One of those characters is Bobbi Morse aka "Mockingbird." Bosses have finally found its Mockingbird. Playing the said role in "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 2 will be "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" actress Adrianne Palicki. The Hollywood Reporter broke the news. According to the report, Adrianna's Mockingbird will show up in the fifth episode of the show. The report notes that her character will be seen "popping in perhaps not as an ally to Coulson and his team."

Previously, it was reported that actor Kyle MacLachlan has been recruited by the show makers for a "major role" in "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 2. TV Line reported that the actor will be portraying the role of Skye's father. Skye's backstory remains the biggest mystery of the show that fans are expecting to be uncovered in the second season.

Adrianna and Kyle are going to join a slew of new actors hired for the upcoming season. Fans know Lucy Lawless will portray Isabelle Hartly, Nick Blood will be seen as Lance Hunter and Reed Diamond will play the supervillain Kraken.

Furthermore, the show's bosses have talked about the "show's future." In an interview with Hypable at San Diego Comic Con, executive producers Marussa Tancharoen and Jed Whedon dished some information about "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." Season 2.

Tanchareon reportedly describes how the new director of S.H.I.E.L.D., Phil Coulson, will be a "specific focus of this shift."

Tanchareon notes that Coulson's role as director will bring "new set of responsibilities and new decisions that he may have to make." His decision making will lead to consequences that "effect" characters of the show in many ways.

Coulson and his teammates are going to take over as "underdogs," according to the EP. Whedon explains that the team's success will be "a rewarding experience" for the viewers as well. Jeff Bell hinted at upcoming "changes" noting the events of last season. According to him, Coulson's new job, "scattered" S.H.I.E.L.D. and Fitz, Simmons and Ward left in some mysterious place, "seems like a good place to start telling the story for season 2."
