“Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” has ended its LMD arc, but there are still a lot of unsettled questions that fans would want to have addressed. The parallel happenings and copies of agents had a lot of viewers confused when the story closed in the previous episode. It looks like things are going to get much worse as S.H.I.E.L.D.’s rival organisation will be setting up its takeover when the show returns.

Although really confusing, the LMD (life model decoys) storyline ended with a literal bang before making way for the next arc, Agents of HYDRA. However, a part of the episode titled “Self Control” led to a revelation that SHIELD had actually been storing a lot of LMDs that look like Daisy Johnson.

Before the real Jemma Simmons and Daisy could go into the Framework to retrieve their friends, the LMD May made a sacrifice that could have taken care of a lot of those copies. While that blast did not get all of the Daisy copies, about 20 of them were shown.

Spoiler alert! This article contains “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” spoilers. Read on if you would like to know what happens before the next episode airs.

When “Agents of SHIELD” returns in April, Daisy, Jemma and the cloned members have to adjust to an alternate reality where HYDA reigns supreme. To reflect this, a new Twitter poster was premiered and showcased familiar looks at the agents -- but with the unmistakable tentacles and HYDRA symbol in the background. The poster is captioned “hail the new world order” which teases the takeover that is bound to happen when the series airs again.

Fans have been wondering if they would see the multiple Daisy LMDs again. Executive producer Jed Whe don spoke about this possibility and said that viewers will see how big of an explosion it really was when they come back. The idea behind it was that May would sacrifice herself to do what she can to put an end to what they are doing.

This only means that all those copies could be completely wiped out. It could also mean that there were some left and these will cause a lot of trouble . Mean while , the rest of the real agents get trapped in the parallel world within their framework. It looks like the LMDs will continue to haunt them into the next arc , after all.

Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on ABC in the US. In Australia, it airs on SyFy.
