‘MasterChef Australia’ 2016 latest news: Mimi Baines launches own website, spends time with rumoured beau Harry Foster
She may not have won the “MasterChef Australia” 2016 title, but it looks like Mimi Baines is doing successfully well both in her career and personal life.
Following her stint in Channel 10’s reality cooking competition, the 26-year-old blonde beauty worked behind the scenes as a prep-chef in “My Market Kitchen,” also from the same network. “MasterChef Australia” Season 5 winner Emma Dean and runner-up Lynton Tapp hosted the 30-minute TV series set at the iconic Queen Victoria Market.
Recently, she launched her own web site, www.mimibaines.com.au, which contains some of her favourite recipes. Mimi took to Instagram to share this update with her fans. “Just launched this little baby, something I’ve been working on for a while,” she wrote. In her site, Mimi welcomes online visitors and introduces herself as a passionate and self-taught home cook. “I have a bit of a sweet tooth, so, baking and the sweeter things in life seem to take up most of my time and thoughts,” she said.
According to her web site, Mimi is currently freelancing as a home economist, cooking for privately catered events, creating cakes and has a number of exciting ventures in the pipeline.
Speaking of exciting, her love life also seems to be full of flavour and zest. Her Instagram account is filled with photos of her and rumoured beau, Harry Foster. The 21-year-old cook was also a former contestant of “MasterChef Australia,” placing third after runner-up Matt Sinclair and winner Elena Duggan. Mimi, on the other hand, landed on the fifth place.
Harry appears to have visited Mimi’s hometown in Melbourne, and the two spent precious time together. “[Look] who's in town... and making me dinner,” Mimi wrote. She also posted a photo of Harry, noting that she’s showing him how they brunch in Melbourne. Harry, for his part, uploaded Mimi’s snapshot on his last day there. “Last brekky with Bae before heading home. Gunna miss you,” he captioned the image.
Speculations about their relationship status started in July, when they exchanged playful Twitter banter about “The Bachelor Australia,” featuring Richie Strahan. In one tweet, Harry wrote, “Mimi if I was the bachelor [I’d] give you a rose straight up.” Mimi, on the other hand, replied, “I would be your #whiterose? You would be mine too” and added a kissing emoji. “I’d buy you every single white rose just so you no other girl could have one,” Harry tweeted back with a heart symbol.

The two really seemed into the show as Harry posted a photo of him and Mimi watching an episode together while cuddling up and having a toast. He wrote, “So good to be back in Melbourne!”
“MasterChef Australia” wrapped up Season 8 in July and is expected to air its upcoming installment in early 2017.
