‘MasterChef Australia’ 2016 update: Returning contestant Theresa Visintin gears up for pressure test, feels the love from fans worldwide

“Home and Away” alum Theresa Visintin has experienced the bitter taste of failure before, and she’s not ready to be eliminated from “MasterChef Australia” again.
The 44-year-old stay-at-home mum faces a familiar scene on Thursday night, as she’ll be back in black along with six other “MasterChef Australia” hopefuls. Theresa will have to put her A-game to ensure she’ll be among this season’s top nine. She was named the last contestant up for elimination on the Heston Blumenthal pop-up restaurant challenge.
Theresa’s dish on Wednesday night failed to convince judges George Calombaris, Gary Mehigan and Matt Preston that she deserves to be safe this challenging week. The contestants were tasked to take inspiration from ancient recipes and bring them up-to-date. While her roulade of chicken with hazelnuts, leeks and raisins earned good reviews from the judges, her lack of organisation and time management led to her loss.

Theresa will be facing the elimination challenge on June 30, along with other “MasterChef Australia” hopefuls Brett Carter, Chloe Bowles, Heather Day, Trent Harvey, Matt Sinclair and Elena Duggan. Network Ten posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode, focusing on the elimination challenge. In the trailer, each home cook is told to pick a colour and create a dish inspired by that hue. Based on the teaser, it looks like Chloe’s going to make a fatal mistake that could cost her a spot in the top nine. “I’m going home,” she says to the cameras.
