Daniel Aulsebrook is the most recent contestant to be removed from MasterChef Australia.

The 32-year-old from Melbourne got eliminated last night from the Channel 10 reality series, after losing a battle against Alvin Quah and Fiona Inglis in making schnitzel, chips and coleslaw in 45 minutes without using any recipe.

Aulsebrook, Quah and Inglis had to copy the pub grub and choose between veal and pork.

Aulsebrook presented his veal schnitzel to the judges even though pork was used in the original dish.

He was failed by his coleslaw with mayonnaise from a jar as dressing.

He found it hard to accept his defeat though, saying that the makers of the show and the judges - Matt Preston, George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan - have favourites.

Aulsebrook even accused Quah, Inglis, and South Australian Marion Grasby to be the apples of the judges' eyes.

In a statement, Aulsebrook said, "I felt mine (schnitzel) looked the best and I was fairly confident, as were the (other) contestants watching, that I had it in the bag."

According to him, he "wasn't there for the (judges) tasting."

"The impression a few of us get is that they (the show's producers and the judges) do have their favourites."

"Some of those favourites are a step up on the others (better cooks) and it is justified, but then there are a few other favourites that aren't necessarily the best cooks in the competition but they go down well with the producers and the judges," he added.

Aulsebrook is the fifth contestant to be removed from MasterChef Australia.
