Matt Damon to Direct a Warner Bros. Drama [PHOTOS]
Matt Damon will potentially direct a Warner Bros. drama he co-wrote with John Krasinski.
The untitled drama will focus on a salesman played by Damon who arrives in a small town and will later on have his life changed. Krasinski will also be part of the drama which they are planning to start in spring.
The film is said to be in the likes of the movie "Erin Brokovich" which won Julia Roberts an Oscar for Best Actress.
The movie will be produced by Matt Damon, Chris Moore, and Krasinski's Sunday Night banner. It was Krasinski who came up with the idea of the script and author Dave Eggers helped with the conceptualization. Krasinski then presented the whole concept to Damon which they agreed to write and star.
Damon has been on a look out for a story to direct. Last year he set up "Father Daughter Time: A Tale of Armed Robbery and Eskimo Kisses" by Matthew Aldrich.
It's not yet clear as to which project will go first but a source tells that Damon will be on the helmer's chair for the untitled drama in spring. Damon is also working on a project for HBO Films called "Liberace" a Steven Soderbergh's biopic of the flamboyant pianist.
Krasinski is most famous for his work in "The Office" and his starring role in romantic comedy "Something Borrowed."
