Undoubtedly, the Mayweather vs. Alvarez bout on Saturday is going to be the biggest boxing event of 2013.

This bout is the much anticipated junior-middleweight title fight of the undefeated Floyd Mayweather Jr. with Mexico's pride, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez.

Some say that this fight might set a record and break the revenue of 2.45 million pay-per-view buys valued at #137 million by the Mayweather vs. De La Hoya fight generated in 2007. "If there is going to be a boxing bout that will break the record, this is definitely it," said a man who assisted in organising the fight.

"This fight has the prospective to be a significant event," said Showtime Sports President Stephen Espinoza. "No one would want to let pass the fight that Floyd loses, and this may just be it, Alvarez is a phenomenon, he has a lot of buzz and he is definitely catching on like a fire, " he added.

Las Vegas is already getting ready on Saturday, Sept 14, where the boxing event will be held. It is happening at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada. A monstrous ticket sales of $19.9 million has already broken the record for such live event. Even the price of the pay-per-view buys has gone up to $75 for high-definition. The $137 million record of the Mayweather and De La Hoya fight could really fall even though the total amount generated by pay-per-view buys is undersized.

Surely, a lot of well-known people will be watching the event live. Various celebrities, athletes, and even politicians have all been present in Mayweather's previous bouts. Justin Bieber has always talked about his support to Mayweather. Will he be in attendance this time? We'll have to wait and see.

Who are you rooting for? Will the underdog Canelo prosper or will Mayweather continue to remain undefeated? The biggest boxing fight of 2013 is almost here so we will soon find out who's the better fighter.
