McDonald’s UK Disallows Rider on Horse to Order from Drive-Thru
A woman who sought to order from McDonald's drive through restaurant in Great Manchester on Saturday was not served because the fast food establishment's rules exclude people aboard horses from ordering at its drive-through window.
What the unnamed woman did was bring instead the beast inside the restaurant on Bury New Road, and the animal made some mess on McDonald's floor, prompting the restaurant to call the police who issued the horse owner a penalty.
"The sight and smell of this caused obvious distress and upset to customers trying to eat, as well as staff members," DigitalSpy quot4ed a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police.
Explaining the reason why it cannot allow orders at its drive-through window besides motorists, McDonalds said, "The health and safety of our customers and staff is out top priority and for this reason we are unable to serve pedestrians, bicycle riders or customers on horseback through the drive-through.
This is not the first time such an incident a horse rider was rejected at McDonald's drive-through window as seen in this YouTube video.
