Medics remove actress Selma Blair from plane on a stretcher after air rage
For her erratic behaviour while flying first class from Cancun to Los Angeles, actress Selma Blair was removed from a plane. She was seen been carried out by medics in a stretcher.
After the 43-year-old “American Crime Story” star was removed from the international flight on Monday, she was brought to a local hospital. Her four-year-old son, Arthur Saint, was with her on the same flight, reports Time.
People reports that while drinking wine, Blair began to cry and talked about threats from an unnamed man. “He burns my private parts. He won’t let me eat or drink. He beats me. He’s going to kill me,” witnesses quote the actress.
Following her outburst and erratic behaviour, two nurses on the plane attended to Blair. While they checked her bags for pills, the pilot called ahead and reported a passenger mixed alcohol with her medication.
She was bound for LA with her son for a beachside Father’s Day celebration with Jason Bleick, the father of Arthur Saint, according to a post on Blair’s Instagram account. She started to date Bleick, a fashion designer, in 2010, became pregnant with Arthur Saint the next year and separated from Bleick in 2012.
According to the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, mixing alcohol with certain medication could cause nausea, vomiting, headaches, drowsiness, fainting and loss of coordination. There is the added risk of internal bleeding, heart problems and difficulties in breathing.
