Israeli news outlets have reported that teen sensation Justin Bieber allegedly refused to meet with traumatized kids from Gaza prompting Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to cancel the scheduled meeting.

Citing the report from Gaza’s Channel Two, Haaretz.com said that Bieber’s camp gave the shoulders to the children living in communities once targeted by Gaza rocket fire.

The prime minister was supposed to host the meeting with Bieber in his office in Jerusalem the Wednesday evening but the meeting had been called off after the teen sensation’s alleged rejection of the idea.

The schedule to meet was set the night before Bieber’s concert Thursday evening.

Knowing that the teen’s concert could help boost Netanyahu’s office, his advisers invited the group of children from the communities near the Gaza border to be included in the meet.

Reports said the children were welcomed by the rocket as they were getting off the bus, leaving a teen in critically wounded and the bus driver with minor injuries.

Reuters noted that Bieber’s Israeli tour was seen as a welcome treat for the ‘traumatized’ children and Netanyahu’s camp reportedly wanted to give them ‘an enjoyable experience’ only to be turned down by the singer.
