Newly crowned Miss World Megan Young will be flying from London and is set to arrive 4:30PM via Cathay Pacific CX 919. Due to the outpouring of fans at the airport, Manila authorities are discouraging fans not to troop to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), said a report on Radyo Inquirer 990 M.

Fresh from the Miss World residence in London, the 23-year-old beauty queen is going to have a hero's welcome and fans are advised to join the motorcade and not to crowd the airport while waiting for the Miss World arrival. Young had her first tour as the new Miss World in London where she will be residing for the entire year of her reign.

The young beauty queen posted on Twitter (@meganbata) her much-awaited homecoming and she is set to be carried by a crown-inspired float, bearing a Miss World logo adorned with bamboos and flowers. Since blue is the pageant's color, the motorcade motif is blue as well, and fans are urged to wear blue to show the country's appreciation for her victory.

The motorcade will feature the country's motorcycle group, vintage car clubs, 15 horses and a brass band to make noises for her arrival. The parade will pass through Buendia and Ayala in Makati City, onward to Edsa and it will end in SM Mall of Asia.

After a press conference, the beauty queen is also invited to do a ceremonial toss in the NBA's pre-season game between Houston Rockets and Indiana Pacers. Young will have a courtesy call with the President in Malacanang and work her way to the Senate and Congress, where she is expected to lighten up the mood for the on-going Pork Barrel scam drama.

Young bested 128 contenders from all over the world and the first Filipina to be crowned as Miss World. This will be her first time going home after her victory and Filipinos are going all out for her homecoming.
