Scheduled to be back in the Philippines today, Miss World Megan Young will take part in NBA's pre-season game recemonial toss between Indiana Pacers and the Houston Rockets. She will do a press conference upon her arrival and will join the NBA players at the Mall of Asia Arena at 7:30 to open NBA's the pre-season game.

According to Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) chairperson Fracis Tolentino, the beauty queen will start her homecoming parade at 2pm and will pass through Buendia and Ayala in Makati City, onwards to Edsa. The celebratory motorcade will end in SM Mall of Asia by 4pm.

The 23-year-old Miss World will be carried by a crown-inspired float that will bear a logo of Miss World and the pageant's color Blue. The gigantic float will adorned by bamboos and flowers. Another vehicle will follow the float carrying a huge LED screen that will show the highlights of Young's pageant journey to her crowning moment.

Joining the motorcade are Philippines' motorcycle group, vintage car clubs, 15 horses and a brass band. Miss World Philippines President Cory Quirino urged Young's supporters to wear blue on her hero's welcome to show the country's collective appreciation.

Young is also set to visit the Congress and the Senate to lessen the tension of the latest Pork Barrel scam drama, and of course a courtesy call with the President Aquino in Malacanang. She will have a grand homecoming party in her hometown in Olongapo.

She is scheduled to have several guest appearances on TV programs starting Saturday. But before that she will visit more than 900 kids at the Tuloy Foundation center in Alabang where she can exercise the pageant's "Beauty With a Purpose" cause.

The new Miss World will be based in London for the duration of her reign and will travel around the world as an ambassador of Miss World's Beauty With A Purpose.
