Meghan Markle’s bachelorette party: Bestfriends, 'good food and drink, a little music'
Prince Harry’s fiancée Meghan Markle will soon bid goodbye to single life by having a party. It won’t be a typical bachelorette party, however, as it will be attended by both female and male friends. It is also not going to be wild.
Markle does not have plans to have a typical bachelorette party, it has been reported. A source close to her and Harry revealed through Us Weekly’s new issue that a celebration will be thrown, but it will not be called her “bachelorette.”
“Think low-key, think somewhere out of London, good food and drink, a little music - it won’t be wild,” the source told the publication. The 36-year-old divorcee reportedly wants it to be a celebration of love and friendship.
The palace insider also provided hints about the guest list. Familiar faces are expected to be in attendance with “[her] best friends Markus Anderson, Lindsay Jill Roth and Jessica Mulroney taking top seats at the table.”
It is unknown whether or not “Quantico” star Priyanka Chopra, who is also among Markle’s friends, will attend Markle's last party as a single woman. Chopra shared in September 2017 how she and Markle became friends, telling People that they met at the annual ELLE Women in Television dinner. She added that they bonded as actors and became friends like two girls would.
Markle also discussed her friendship with Chopra with Press Trust of India in July 2016. The “Suits alum” said at that time that it was friendship at first sight and that they managed to keep in touch, trying to see each other whenever in the same town. She also described Chopra as “unbelievable.”
Another thing that Us Weekly has learned is that the US actress and the 33-year-old prince will not have a bridal registry. The couple wants to encourage family members, friends and well-wishers to donate anonymously to charity gift funds, it has been said.
Previous reports claimed that the pair is calling all the shots about their big day as they want to do things their way. They reportedly want their wedding day to be about them and what they want to do. But that does not mean they will no longer be mindful of traditions. Markle will marry the young royal on May 19 at Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel.
