Meghan Trainor recently proved just how much she loves Christmas when she burst into tears over her brother’s holiday surprise.

The singer uploaded a short clip on Instagram which showed her crying at the backseat of a car over a sweet surprise that her brother Ryan prepared for her. The singer’s sibling had decorated her home with colourful Christmas lights and a red coloured sign which spelled out the word “Joy.”

In the video, Meghan can’t stop crying and commented that the lights were “so pretty” before she thanked her brother. She even wrote on Instagram that she has the “best big brother in the world.”

“@ryan.trainor surprised me with crazy Christmas decorations,” she continued. “Because he knows I'm obsessed with Christmas and lights.”

In a July interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Meghan revealed that she lives with her two brothers and two cats, Entertainment Tonight (ET) reported. The “Like I’m Gonna Lose You” crooner also told ET during the Grammy’s that her father’s influence has inspired her to write "All About That Bass."

She shared that her mother told her to be confident and not worry about her size, however it was her dad who advised her about boys. "I think that [my dad] was the one who really said, 'Don't worry, baby -- boys like b--ty to hold at night. 'My mom's too sweet, she's too innocent,'” she recounted.

Meghan also recently made news when she performed with Charlie Puth during the American Music Awards. The two singers took to the stage to sing Charlie’s hit “Marvin Gaye.” At the end of the song, Charlie and Meghan had an AMA make-out session as they kissed on stage.

A few fans may have been shocked to see the two singers locking lips, however, the steamy scene was part of their stage performance. Charlie even warned People magazine during the AMA’s red carpet event to “get ready” since his performance will involve “a lot of making out.”

Meghan and Charlie’s AMA make-out performance also led to speculations that there might be something romantic going on between the two. However, Charlie slammed those rumours when he told USA Today that they were good friends.

“I have a girl kind of in my life right now that I'm not making too public and I don't want people to get the wrong idea,” he revealed to USA Today. “But without Meghan's initial push, I wouldn't really be anywhere. Meghan really helped me by being featured on my first record (Marvin)."
