Mel Gibson’s publicist Alan Nierob has denied accusations filed against the Hollywood actor by The Daily Telegraph photographer Kristi Miller. In her account, Miller said the actor pushed her and called her some obscene words after she took his photos with his girlfriend as they left a screening of “Far From Men” at the Palace Verona Cinema in Australia on Sunday.

Nierob said that Miller was neither pushed nor shoved by his client. What happened was Gibson tried to repeatedly ask the photographer to stop taking his pictures with his 24-year-old girlfriend, Rosalind Ross, as they were already being harassed. However, Miller didn’t pay heed.

“There was never any physical contact whatsoever and the story being told by her is a complete fabrication of the truth,” Nierob told The Guardian Australia.

However, Nierob did not comment on the allegations stating Gibson verbally abused Miller with obscene words during their encounter.

Miller told The Daily Telegraph that she was called a “dog” and was told that she will go to hell. She also recalled being pushed as she turned her back on the actor and his girlfriend, after taking several snaps of them together outside the cinema. The mother of three even for a moment thought she was going to get punched in the face.

“It shocked me because I wasn’t expecting it. I don’t know if it was his hands or elbow,” she said.

Miller said that Ross intervened during the altercation. She reportedly grabbed Gibson’s shoulder and told him to stop and apologised to Miller before they crossed the road and walked away. The photographer recalled how the actor had his fists clenched as he stood over her. The bystanders also reportedly took notice of the commotion and stepped in to see if Miller was okay.

The incident, which happened at around 6:20 p.m., was also reported to the police. A spokeswoman confirmed that witnesses have called in to report that a man was involved in an altercation outside with a photographer on Oxford St. Paddington, outside the cinema.

Surry Hills Local Area Command Police Superintendent Tony Crandell has also assured that his department will look into the case. In a statement, Crandell said they will be checking on the CCTV footage for further evidence and is urging anyone with knowledge of the incident to come forward to help solve the case.
