Mel Gibson could lose parental rights
Controversial Hollywood actor Mel Gibson could be banned from seeing his baby girl, according to reports.
Lawyers of his ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva have allegedly asked a judge to strip the actor of all his parental rights, citing he is a danger to eight-month-old daughter Lucia. Mel has seven other children with estranged wife Robyn.
The 54-year-old actor is being questioned by the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department for domestic abuse and child endangerment, following the release of tapes suggesting Oksana has been hit by Mel while she was holding their baby.
Although sources close to the Mad Max star say he has denied her claims, other tapes that show him being violent and abusive to his former lover have been made public.
It is now alleged that Mel pointed a gun on Oksana, broke her teeth and threatened her with a bat.
"Oksana claims that after Mel hit her, she escaped outside and ran barefooted to the outdoor area at the home, near the pool," a source said.
"When Mel disappeared, Oksana said she ran back inside to find her car keys so she could leave the house. That's when Mel re-emerged holding the gun and began waving it in front of Oksana's face.
"Oksana said she was panicked and while searching for the keys, Mel came up to her and said, 'I will show you how to get out of here fast,' which she interpreted to be a death threat."
The Russian pianist and singer-songwriter promised she will reveal "everything" about Mel at some point.
