Mel Gibson gets a visit from child protection services
Mel Gibson, who has been accused of domestic violence against ex-lover Oksana Grigorieva, was interviewed by child protection services on Wednesday.
The Mad Max star had a formal visit from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.
"The meeting lasted for several hours," an insider said.
The Russian pianist and singer-songwriter has claimed Mel punched her in the head during a violent row while she was holding their eight-month-old daughter Lucia, leaving the baby with a mark on her chin.
The 54-year-old actor, however, denied the allegations.
Earlier this week, Oksana claimed Mel threatened to shoot her and himself.
He allegedly pulled a gun on the Russian singer and said he would shoot her, their daughter and Alexander, her 12-year-old son with former James Bond star Timothy Dalton.
"Mel punched her in the mouth and then again in the side of the head," an insider said of the incident.
"Oksana has told authorities it was horrific and she thought she was going to die."
The source claimed Oksana had told authorities she was holding their baby during the attack and fell backwards on the bed as Mel tried to choke her.
Alexander, who reportedly witnessed the attack, was interviewed by child protection services agents last Friday.
