The controversy involving Mel Gibson and his Russian ex-girlfriend and baby mama Oksana Grigorieva is far from over.

On Sunday, Gibson met with detectives from the L.A. County Sheriff to discuss about Grigorieva, who is apparently trying to extort money from him.

According to TMZ, the meeting was "lengthy" and Gibson and his counsel submitted "physical evidence", which included email and texts, to prove that Oksana tried to extort money from him in exchange for keeping the recorded phone calls private.

However, the Hollywood actor and his lawyer only met with the investigators to discuss the extortion claims and refused to talk about her criminal complaint against him.

"Gibson does not have to discuss Oksana's claims based on his Fifth Amendment rights against self-incrimination," TMZ reports.
