Melissa McCarthy reveals major weight loss in new pictures for her label
Funny woman Melissa McCarthy has reportedly lost lot of weight just in time for Christmas. The “Mike and Molly” star has appeared in the advertisement campaign of her Melissa McCarthy Seven7 Holiday range, where she looks lighter and thin.
Though the actress has not revealed the amount of weight loss she has undergone, various publications are suggesting that she is at least 20 kilograms lighter now. In the recent pictures --shot by famed photographer Brian Bowen Smith--the actress is dressed in latest collection from her label.
To give a festive touch to the collection, McCarthy even wrapped herself with a garland of lights. The Oscar-nominated actress can be seen in various looks ranging from formal to casual wear and it appears she had an amazing time doing it.
The “Bridesmaids” actress, who has two children, recently opened up on why she chose to start designing clothes for plus-sized women. “I think most women in the US are a 14. I think like 72 per cent of women are a 14,” McCarthy said in a previous interview.
“So I think it’s a little insane if you’re in this business to tell your biggest section of clientele that you don’t want their business. There is just this weird thing about how we perceive women in this country. I would love to be a part of breaking that down,” she added.
Though she has not recently opened up about her weight loss secrets, the actress talked about it in her previous interview with Life and Style magazine. “I truly stopped worrying about it,” she said about her weight loss. “I stopped over-analysing, over-thinking, overdoing anything,” she added.
“I kinda went back to when I was pregnant and I just stopped constantly being worried about it, and I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked. I could’ve figured that out before 44, but whatever,” she added.
