'Men in Black' reboot: Chris Hemsworth teases picture from set
The filming of “Men in Black” reboot continues in full swing in the UK. Cast member Chris Hemsworth (Agent H) has teased a new picture from the production set, in which he can be seen wearing his costume.
Hemsworth is ready to kickstart the reboot as Agent H, protecting the Earth from hostile alien threats. A picture he posted online on Instagram [see below] shows him wearing a white shirt and black tie, standing next to his fellow cast member Tessa Thompson (Agent M).
Thompson is also playing an agent in the film, and her character appears to be Agent H’s partner. A cornerstone of the franchise has been the funny and often antagonistic relationships of the partners, as they fight aliens. It remains to be seen what fresh conflicts Hemsworth and Thompson will bring to the franchise in the upcoming film.
Will Smith (Agent J) and Tommy Lee Jones (Agent K) aren’t coming back in the next film, although a cameo appearance may be possible. The only returning character is Agent O (Emma Thompson).
The character Agent O was introduced in the 2012 flick “Men in Black 3.” She was the love interest of Agent K, and was the head of the secretive organisation. Agent O may continue to lead the organisation as they prepare to face new challenges.
The plot of the upcoming film hasn’t been announced yet. Rebecca Ferguson is set to play an important role in the film, and she is expected to be playing the villain. The other cast members of the film include Liam Neeson, Kumail Nanjiani, Davina Sitaram, Anatole Taubman, and Hiten Patel.
The “Men in Black” reboot is being directed by F. Gary Gray. The film is set to be released on June 14, 2019 in the US. The producers are yet to announce the release date for Australia.
