The Mentalist Season 6 Episode 3 ("Wedding in Red") teaser video shows Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) eager to wed Wayne Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) and Grace Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti), who have recently been engaged. "Love is in the air, Lisbon," Jane says. Does Red John mess with the CBI couple's wedding? Meanwhile, Bruno Heller talks about Brett Partridge and Red John in an interview.

Why Brett Partridge is the First Red John Suspect to Die?

Entertainment Weekly asks The Mentalist creator Bruno Heller: Why did he kill Brett Partridge (Jack Plotnick) first? Season 6 Episode 1 shows Partridge giving his last words to Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney): "Tiger, tiger."

"It wasn't my decision (to kill Partridge); it was Red John's decision," Heller told EW. "Why did he kill Partridge? What possible reason could he have for that? A very good reason will be revealed down the line," he added.

"Tiger, tiger, burning bright / In the forests of the night / What immortal hand or eye / Could frame thy fearful symmetry" (William Blake)

Heller also has a "memo" for fans asking if there would be more "tiger, tiger" mentions: Watch The Mentalist Season 6, Episode 4, called, "Red Listed."

In another interview, Heller reveals that The Mentalist showrunners are laying down the plot for the show's post-Red John chapter. Red John, according to Simon Baker, could be revealed within the calendar year. Understandably, the show is ready to move on past this supervillain - if it's not yet the end of the series.

Bruno Heller said, "if we do indeed catch and get rid of Red John," it will be "a huge weight and burden off the shoulders of Jane and Lisbon." And so the series will show their relationship and the CBI work in that scenario.

The focus might go to the fans' Jisbon after the Red John chase. This could develop since Rigsby and Van Pelt are leaving The Mentalist.

"The end of every journey is the beginning of a new journey and our new team will have to go their separate ways before they find each other again," Heller told The Hollywood Reporter.

This week (Oct. 13 episode), The Mentalist Season 6 Episode 3, "Wedding in Red," sets the exit door for Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti.
