"The Mentalist" Season 6, Episode 12, titled "The Golden Hammer" shows Patrick Jane (Simon Baker), Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney), and Kimball Cho (Tim Kang) in a funny family set-up. Jane and Lisbon, known as Jisbon to shippers, look like mom and dad fighting at the breakfast table in the CBS promo video. Watch the sneak preview to see Cho's priceless reaction. Meanwhile, Rigsby and Van Pelt return.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains major spoilers on "The Mentalist" Season 6, Episode 11, "White Lines." Minor spoilers on this week's new episode are included. 6x12 airs Jan. 12 (Sunday) on the U.S. network CBS.

"When a high-tech map maker is murdered, Jane and the FBI investigate the possibility that he may have unearthed a spy ring before he was killed. Elsewhere, Rigsby (Owain Yeoman) and Van Pelt (Amanda Righetti) are caught up in a disturbing conspiracy," reads the 6x12 episode synopsis on TV.com.

Mitch Daniels (Pat Skipper of "X-Files" and "Boston Legal") guest stars in "The Golden Hammer." In the sneak preview, Agent Daniels is seen arguing with Kim Fischer (Emily Swallow) about Jane's security clearance.

Fischer and Lisbon are slowly becoming friends, thanks to Jane's antics. They are seen hanging out in a bar in The Mentalist Season 6x11. This develops as Jane flirts with Krystal Markham (Brianna Brown). Jane deliberately forgets to tell both ladies that Markham is his prime suspect, all along.

In The Mentalist Season 6x12, Lisbon calls Jane "boss." Jane reiterates they are partners. Lisbon (fairly) points out he has been bossy. They argue. Kimball Cho, seated opposite the "parents," give them an exasperated look. Watching the three characters in scenes like this usually make the fans smile. Nothing much has changed for these former CBI agents, after all.

So FBI Agent Daniels tells Jane he's not allowed to sit-in in some seemingly important meeting. Avid viewers of the show can guess Jane is not going to this lightly. What does he usually do to a closed door? He uses his mentalista tricks to kick it open.

Earlier spoilers and reports revealed Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti are leaving The Mentalist Season 6. (It was presumed by many that Red John would have them killed.) Now, after being off the storyline for a couple of weeks, the two are present in "Golden Hammer." Fans who missed the newlyweds would be thrilled.
