"The Mentalist" Season 6, Episode 9 carries the first title without any red or cherry or crimson reference. "My Blue Heaven" marks the first post-Red John episode. Viewers expect a somewhat new Patrick Jane (Simon Baker). Meanwhile, Jisbon shippers are hoping for a chance for Jane and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) to finally be romantically involved.

Rockmond Dunbar reprises his role as FBI agent Dennis Abbott in The Mentalist Season 6, Episode 9. Dunbar, who is now a series regular, is playing quite an anti-Jisbon character. But fans are giving him a chance to show exactly whether he's friend or foe. From the sneak preview, it seems Dunbar and Baker have an important face-off in 6x09.

Owain Yeoman and Amanda Righetti have been reported to be leaving the series. Tim Kang, who plays the enigmatic Cho, is staying. Fans are eagerly awaiting to see the core characters - old and new - as the series took a short break after revealing Red John. (Related stories below.)

Patrick Jane is not likely to be jailed for killing Red John aka Sheriff Thomas McAllister (Xander Berkeley). After all, he killed a dead man walking. Still, from the sneak preview, Jane seems to be in an extradition-free country to avoid prison time. "I am done with that life," Jane says. What or Who could convince him to come back?

Fans of Australian actor Simon Baker must watch this episode. The Mentalist Season 6, Episode 9, My Blue Heaven, is the first story in which Baker would be seen loosening up -- by the beach, sexy and definitely different - away from crime solving and Red John vendetta obsession. It's a new chapter. It's a new Jane.
