"The Mentalist" Season 6 could be the end of the series, but creator Bruno Heller is not issuing an official statement. Instead, he reiterates in an interview that Red John will be caught when the CBS series returns in September. "The hunt is on, no messing about ," Heller said.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Heller answered some very important questions being asked by avid viewers of the series. Is Patrick Jane Red John himself? No. Is the list of 7 suspects legit? Yes. Does he wish The Mentalist Season 6 is the last series installment? Now Heller gets a bit vague.

"(The cast and production) involved in it are kind of a family and you never want to break up a family that's happy," Heller told EW. He hinted he has a certain direction in mind in case CBS orders a seventh season - and that is after Red John is caught or killed, or both.

In a SpoilerTV behind-the-scenes interview, Robin Tunney, who plays Teresa Lisbon, swears zero knowledge about Red John. This was at the time of the filming of the Season 5 finale.

Bret Stiles, Gale Bertram, Raymond Haffner, Reede Smith, Bob Kirkland, Sheriff McAllister, and Brett Partridge are the seven Red John suspects on Jane's list. Which among these characters match the words in "The Tyger" poem by William Blake? RJ himself quoted these lines to Patrick Jane in The Mentalist Season 2 finale.

Tyger! Tyger! burning bright
In the forests of the night,
What immortal hand or eye
Could frame thy fearful symmetry?

It has been revealed, too, that Red John is well aware of this list. Kirkland, believed to be the man in the limo on the 100th episode of The Mentalist, is the last person seen spying on Jane's documentation and research. Could he be RJ?
