'The Mentalist' Season 7 Spoilers: Patrick Jane-Teresa Lisbon Relationship Doing Well; Morena Baccarin's Erica Flynn Fails to Break Jisbon (Spoilers, Review)
"The Mentalist" Season 7, Episode 4, titled "The Black Market," airs Sunday, Dec. 22, on CBS. Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) are doing well so far as a couple, that even the cunning Erica Flynn (Morena Baccarin) is unable to break them. Meanwhile, a new character is trying to understand the dynamics of the odd FBI gang.

Jisbon shippers have been enjoying some romantic moments in the CBS procedural series. In The Mentalist Season 7, Episode 3, Jane even manages to take Lisbon out on a rooftop date to watch some fireworks. This happens after put Erica Flynn behind bars again.
It is interesting for many viewers that Erica Flynn got on Lisbon's nerves for a moment. In the end, however, both Jane and Lisbon prove Flynn that they have something better than what the villain is offering Jane.
The Mentalist Season 7, Episode 4 is putting the spotlight on FBI Agent Dennis Abbott (Rockmond Dunbar). Abbott has been discreetly supportive of Jane and Lisbon since the finale of Season 6. But he is getting in trouble in the next new episode.
Jane is more aware of Abbott's support than Lisbon, so the next new episode is likely to show Jane helping Abbott out on a personal matter.
Meanwhile, a new character is trying to fit in with the odd FBI gang. Michelle Vega (Josie Loren) first appears in The Mentalist Season 7 premiere. Jane quickly gets a reading of her, and she is spooked by his ways.
In The Mentalist Season 7, Episode 3, Vega gets admonished by Kimball Cho (Tim Kang). After discovering that she has lied to him, Cho tells Vega that he is not letting her join his team in the field again. It remains to be seen whether this conflict could bring these two together, eventually.
Tim Kang has teased fans earlier, saying that Cho will be smiling more in the final season of the show.
The next episodes of The Mentalist Season 7 are expected to be like an "epilogue" to the story. Series creator Bruno Heller has expressed gratitude for being given the chance to end the series in a way that they are able to bring closure to the fans' favourite characters.
