"The Mentalist" Season 7, Episode 1 airs Nov. 30 on CBS. Series creator Bruno Heller describes the show's final season, the Red John ending, and the return of Morena Baccarin. Heller does not give out any major spoilers (no confirmation of a Jisbon wedding), but he has plenty of teasers.

The final season of The Mentalist will show the characters, Patrick Jane (Simon Baker) and Teresa Lisbon (Robin Tunney) on a happier chapter, "with options, possibilities and joy in their lives," Heller told Entertainment Weekly.

Kimball Cho will also be smiling in The Mentalist Season 7, actor Tim Kang has teased earlier on Twitter. Jane, Lisbon, and Cho are the only series regulars left from the main characters who hunted Red John from Season 1 to 6.

"(We) got a chance that's rarely given in this business to really end the story, to tell the story exactly as we wanted to do, and give you the coda, the happily-ever-after chapter," Heller explained, implying a happy ending.

Red John is a finished story, a closed book. The final season of The Mentalist is about life-after-Red-John. Heller added he does not want to leave viewers speculating that "we didn't get the right guy and he's still running around-because he ain't."

For Jisbon (Jane and Lisbon) shippers, Heller teases Morena Baccarin reprising her role as Erica Flynn in The Mentalist Season 7 will have a certain impact on Lisbon.

Flynn is an "incredibly suave gorgeous clever woman who's very much a match for Jane," Heller said, adding, "the fun is from Lisbon grappling with the appearance of her character" in The Mentalist Season 7.

Meanwhile, Pedro Pascal is also returning as a guest star in The Mentalist Season 7. Pascal's character, FBI Agent Marcus Pike, has proposed to Lisbon, and she was supposed to move in with him in Washington. TV Line has an interesting Season 7 still photo featuring Jane and Pike here.

The Mentalist Season 7, Episode 1 takes place two weeks after the Jisbon kiss in the sixth season finale. Jane and Lisbon will figure out how to go about their new status as a couple around Cho and Agent Dennis Abbott (Rockmond Dunbar).

The Mentalist Season 7 is taking the CBS timeslot of "The Good Wife" from Nov. 30 to Dec. 28. TGW takes back the slot on Jan. 4, and the rest of final season episodes will air Wednesdays, from Jan. 7.
