MET Gala's 2014 edition was all about formal fashion. The stars arrived to celebrate the opening of the "Charles James: Beyond Fashion" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The stars gathered for the 2014 Costume Institute Benefit in New York City on May 5. From Rihanna to Kristen Stewart to Emma Stone, the stars donned gorgeous dresses. Apart from that, Taylor Swift and Selena Gomez also made an appearance at the event. Awkward run-in alert!
The celebrities wore some of the most beautiful gowns and paired them with lovely accessories. MET Gala 2014 could be termed as the most fashionable event of the year so far.
The event saw celebs that are a regular affair at fundraisers, like Kristen Stewart. According to HollywoodLife.com, the "Twilight" actress wore an intricate attire by Chanel. KStew looked stunning at the event.
According to HollywoodLife.com, KPatz rekindled her friendship with Robert Pattinson's ex, Riley Keough. Both Riley and Kristen got ready for the event together.
Meanwhile, MET Gala 2014 also saw newcomers like Selena Gomez and actress Lupita Nyong'o.
Singer Selena Gomez looked stunning in a form-fitting purple gown.
The event also saw singer Taylor Swift. It is not news that Taylor and Selena haven't been buddies lately.
"Come & Get It" singer and Taylor Swift have not been talking ever since Selena ignored "Red" singer's advice to avoid Justin Bieber. Selena Gomez and Justin reunited in March. However, "Jelena" is now over and MET Gala 2014 can be a great way for Selena and Taylor to reunite as friends.
It is quite possible that these two might run into each other at the ball and it will be awkward.
"Wizards of Waverly Place" star has already unfollowed everyone on Instagram including Taylor Swift plus they have not been talking for weeks.
"Taylor's hopeful that they will eventually be friends again," revealed an insider to HollywoodLife.com.
"She misses Selena, but she's not interested in being friends with her if Justin is still in her life. Taylor thinks he's like an addiction for Selena and she's not going to enable her. This is tough love, but for sure Taylor still loves Selena, she always will."
