Mia Wasikowska Gets a Pat on the Back for Difficult Costumes And Classic Films
Famous costume designer for films, Michael O'Connor, gives all praises for actress Mia Wasikowska on wearing a difficult corset in the set of 'Jane Eyre' without committing any single complaint.
The young Aussie actress played the lead role for the screen adaptation of Cary Fukunaga of the novel of the same title. It also stars Michael Fassbender and Judi Dench. The designer said that the entire cast deserves a pat on the back as well especially in doing roles that are way different from the modern lives they live.
According to O'Connor, no modern woman of today would want to wear a corset on an everyday basis, but Mia Wasikowska eagerly agreed to do it for the sake of her acting craft. Michael Fassbender also had to wear pants that are cut so high and comes with braces along with different scarves around the neck. Judi Dench herself was all buttoned up as well.
The costume designer added that Mia is the kind of actress who would tolerate anything just to help her feel the character more. They all noticed how much she felt more and more like Jane as she wears the corset but nothing can be more relieving for everyone as when the shoot was over.
Michael O'Connor is nominated for the coming Oscars for the Best Costume Design category. He had his previous Oscar in 2008 for the movie 'The Duchess.'
