Mia Wasikowska Sets Her Hands To Direct And Other Actresses Turned Directors [PHOTOS]
One of the youngest, in demand actresses of today, Mia Wasikowska is set to make her directorial debut along with another great actress Cate Blanchett. They will direct a certain chapter from the story collection of Tim Winton's "The Turnin" which will then turn out to be its own adaptation.
The said short story collection is described as seventeen stories that overlap full of second thoughts and regrets made during mid life. It is all set in the small town of the coastal Western end of Australia.
The rest of the details about this news is still blurry but this could be such an amazing competition between this episodic collaboration right up against the first Sydney collaborative movie project which also include the biggest names of stars like Toni Collette and Russell Crowe.
This can mean such great news for rising star Mia Wasikowska and consider it a great chance to expand more of her horizons in the entertainment industry. In fact, there are lots of other actresses turned directors in the past several years who made such great impact with the projects they directed.
One great example would be Sofia Coppola whose appearance as an actress was seen before in "The Phantom Menace," in the music video of Chemical Brothers, and of course 'The Godfather Part III.' It was with projects such as "Lost in Translation"and "The Virgin Suicides" that she proved directing is definitely another great talent in their family.
Most recently, there was also another great actress, Jodie Foster, who made it really well with working behind the camera for "The Beaver" which had Mel Gibson in the lead act.
