Judging from the pictures, the defending champions are ready to protect their crown.

Led by LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Ray Allen and Chris Bosh, the Miami Heat won their second title in as many years at the expense of the San Antonio Spurs last season.

Rather than rest on their laurels, the Heat have decided to reload their roster to further improve their chances in the 2013-2014 season.

From free agency, Miami added center Greg Oden and forward Michael Beasley. Both came with different type of baggage—injury for Oden, attitude for Beasley but both can be vital to Miami’s campaign this year.

Veteran forward Udonis Haslem has a few word of advice for the volatile Beasley during media day interviews.

“This is not 5 years ago,” said Haslem to Beasley via a tweet by Ethan J. Skolnick.
