Michael Clarke and Kyly Clarke welcome premature baby girl
Former international cricketer Michael Clarke and wife Kyly Clarke have received an early Christmas present. It’s a baby girl born on Tuesday morning. The baby is five weeks premature but is in good health. Karl Stefanovic announced the good news on Tuesday on the Today show.
“I can report to you all back in Australia that from a very good source, that former Australian cricket captain Michael Clarke and his beautiful wife Kyly have just had a baby girl,” Stefanovic said, according to Sydney Morning Herald.
Michael and Kyly have yet to confirm the happy news. It is very likely that the couple will break the news via social media as they did back in July when the couple was expecting their first child.
In another photo posted by Kyly, the couple is seen touching the baby bump and smiling at the camera.
Kyly spoke to Vogue Australia in July.
“Michael and I are thrilled to be expecting our first child together. It’s been a busy few months with a new business and now planning for the upcoming arrival of baby Clarke. We couldn’t be happier and are so excited to embark on this new chapter in our lives,” she told the magazine.
Michael Clarke is a former Australian captain and batsman. After a shocking defeat in the 2015 Ashes series, he retired from all forms of cricket on Aug. 24. He scored a total of 8,643 runs in 115 Test matches with Batting average of 49.10. His One Day International (ODI) career yielded 7,981 runs after 245 matches and a batting average of 44.58.
Kyly Clarke is an Australian presenter and model. She has her own interior design business and is the brand ambassador and face of Rebel Sport, a sport equipment and apparel chain in Australia and New Zealand.
