On the second year of his death, Michael Jackson still remains one of the most controversial and talked about icons in the entertainment industry. June 25 marks the second year since the legendary singer accidentally died due to a cardiac arrest caused by propofol intoxication, a type of anesthesia. The king of pop's doctor, Conrad Murray, faced involuntary manslaughter charges for administering a large dose of this drug to the singer, but walked away without prison time after posting a bail of $75,000 USD. Murray was also the one who placed the 911 call on the afternoon of June 25th 2009, but the singer was already dead when the paramedics arrived. The singer was 50 years old when he passed away and left three children named Paris, Blanket and Prince.

Michael Jackson started his singing career at a tender age of 4 in the group Jackson 5 with his brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Randy. All in all, Jackson has won countless Grammys and lifetime achievement awards, and became a double inductee in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and 2001. In 1994, the singer married Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of legendary musician Elvis Presley.
