Michael Jackson's cardiologist Dr. Conrad Murray got weepy Wednesday when his defense team presented a series of evidence and testimonies from clients praising his skill as a physician.

On the witness stand in favor of the doctor were former patients Andrew Guest, Gerry Causey, Lunette Sampson and Ruby Mosley.

The doctor has been on trial for weeks charged with involuntary manslaughter in Jackson's 2009 death. The witnesses from his Las Vegas and Houston practices talked about the hours he spent talking to his patients, his weekend calls to check on them, and the free services he offered for his indigent patients.

"That man sitting there is the best doctor I've ever seen. I'm alive because of that man," said Guest, who was treated by Murray in 2002 for a heart condition. His and the others testimonies caused the doctor to shed tears. Other testimonies are below as stated:

  • Causey, a longtime friend and patient, said the doctor extended his time up to four hours during appointments. He also said that Murray made an effort to call Causey's wife after his appointment to explain his treatment.
  • Sampson said Murray gave long and exhaustive attention to each of his patients.
  • Mosley said Murray set up a clinic in a low-income neighborhood in honor of his father who was also a physician.
  • Each patient testified that if Murray performed sedation, it was always in a hospital setting with monitoring equipments and hospital personnel. This was in defense to the prosecutor's allegation that Murray didn't have monitoring equipment or nurse assistance when he gave Jackson the dose of propofol that led to his death.

The doctor, who earned $150,000 per month, pleaded not guilty to the charges of involuntary manslaughter of King of Pop Michael Jackson.
