Michael Jordan's Mansion is Back for Auction

The 56,000-square-foot mansion of Michael Jordan is back for auction.

According to Concierge Auctions, the public bidding will take place on Monday. Concierge Auctions is the company that manages Jordan's mansion, located in Highland Park, Illinois. It is a company responsible for the sale of top-of-the-line real estate properties.

Jordan's mansion has a total of nine bedrooms, an infinity pool, a cigar lounge, an indoor basketball complex like that of the NBA's, and other lucrative amenities.

Jordans' huge property was initially put up for sale at $29 million in 2012. The original auction date was set on Nov 22. However, it was postponed on the very same day of the auction because Concierge Auctions' president, Laura Brady, claimed that the attention they received from potential clients were overwhelming. Brady said that their clients requested more time to visit the mansion.

Anyone who is interested in bidding and buying the house, where Jordan has lived for 19 years, can participate through phone and in person. Brady also stated that any individual who wants to bid but couldn't make it can ask someone to bid on their behalf.

It has been reported that the basketball legend is not willing to take anything less than $13 million for his property. If no one bids more than $13 million, then the house stays with Jordan.

The former Chicago Bulls point guard has lived in the mansion for 19 years. The reason why he decided to finally let go of the house is because his kids are already grown up. Jordan thinks he doesn't need a big house anymore. Moreover, he no longer lives there. He lives with his wife Yvette Prieto, who is currently pregnant with their first child, in Florida.
