One day after the news broke out that Michelle Williams has parted ways with one-year boyfriend, Jason Segel, the star was back to work and able to hide any “emotional strain” judging by the big smiles she was wearing while promoting her latest film in Moscow.

The 32-year-old “Marilyn Monroe” was all smiles as she was standing before a throng of photographers, along with co-stars James Franco and Mila Kunis while the casts at a promotional tour for the “Wizard of Oz” prequel, “Oz the Great and Powerful.”

Looking radiant in black, mini-dress, no sign could be sensed that Michelle broke up with Jason only a year after they began dating in March 2012. Regarded as one of the most adorable couples in Hollywood, the celebrity couple has reportedly called it quits “very quietly.”

"The breakup was mutual," Us Weekly said, quoting a statement by an unnamed insider. "It's a sad moment. They respect each other."

Both Michelle and Jason have yet to release a statement explaining the cause of their split. Critics claim that it could however, result from geographical conflicts and they found no way to bridge the physical gap. Michelle still lives in Brooklyn with daughter Matilda while Segel opted to be based in LA for his sitcom.

It appears that their bicoastal relationship was too difficult, though. Williams lives in Brooklyn with her daughter and Segel is based in LA where his sitcom is filmed.

Jason is Michelle’s first serious relationship following her split from Australian great actor Heath Ledger, whom she has a daughter, Matilda, who is a spitting image of her father as she grows older. It took a while for Michelle to look for love again after Heath died in 2010.

Her split from Jason however has brought surprise to many since they were still loved-up early this year. They were last seen having a great vacation in Cancun in January.
