Hollywood actress Michelle Williams will portray Marilyn Monroe in a new movie revolving around Monroe's 1956 movie shoot with Sir Laurence Olivier.

In the new movie, William stars as Marilyn Monroe with Kenneth Branagh as Olivier. Julia Ormond will play actress Vivien Leigh while Dame Judi Dench will take on the role of Dame Sybil Thorndike.

The new movie is based on "My Week with Marilyn." It follows a week in the life of Marilyn Monroe as she escapes to the United Kingdom away from Hollywood. Monroe is oriented to 1950s British pleasures by an assistant on the "The Prince and the Showgirl" set.

The 30-year old Williams earned an Oscar nomination for her 2005 role in "Brokeback Mountain" (where she met Australian actor Heath Ledger with whom she has a daughter). She also appeared "Shutter Island."

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson will also be featured in the movie under the directing of Simon Curtis.
