Michelle Williams is Hollywood's best kept secret. The 31 year old has been playing strong and yet vulnerable female types for years, and is yet to have her big screen moment and she doesn't seem to mind. William's relationship with acting is so entwined in her real life that she sometimes recounts being married and divorced to Ryan Gosling, her co-star in "Blue Valentine."

"When I look back on my life and I sort of reflect on relationships or anything, my mind folds that one into the mix of the real relationships that I've had in my life. And I have to stop myself and say, 'Oh, no, you did not marry and divorce Ryan Gosling,'" she says candidly. One has to wonder if she's ever thought of herself as Leo's dead wife ("Shutter Island") or a homeless woman ("Wendy and Lucy"), and if she'll next think of herself as one of Hollywood's original bombshells ala Marilyn Monroe-her portrayal of which is getting collectively great reviews.

At this moment, the mother of one is merely content in listening to what critics have been saying about her performance in "My Week with Marilyn." "What I've hoped for is to have as little separation between the character that I'm playing and the people in the audience - nothing that made the character feel out of reach," Williams has said when asked how she wanted to play the icon. And that's exactly what she does with aplomb. Her Marilyn is a multi layered performance-at once the glamorous Marilyn that the public couldn't get enough of, and the defenceless private Marilyn who was little girl lost.

The film is set to be released Nov. 23 in the U.S. and Nov. 25 in the UK.
