Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke became the latest celebrity victim on another death hoax that recently surfaced on the internet. An unidentified user created the death report on Global Associated News claiming that the 60-year-old actor died from a snowboarding accident in Switzerland.

In the death hoax report, eyewitnesses claimed the "Iron Man 2" star lost control while snowboarding and then crashed to a tree. "Mickey Rourke was air lifted by ski patrol teams to a local hospital, however, it is believed that the actor died instantly from the impact of the crash. The actor was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and drugs and alcohol do not appear to have played any part in his death," Global Associated News stated.

Other actors were also victims of such horrible death hoax reports. Social networking sites "Facebook" and "Twitter" recently claimed that Sylvester Stallone also died in a snowboarding accident which brings back the similar death reports on comedian Jim Carrey and actor Christian Slater in 2012.

These famous Hollywood actors are all alive and doing well. Global Associated News is just one of the numerous entertainment web sites that allow internet users to create fake death stories on any famous celebrity and send out the report.

With Mickey Rourke's death hoax report, Global Associated News even posted this statement at the bottom of the report: "THIS STORY IS 100% FAKE! This is an entertainment website and this is a totally fake article based on zero truth and is a complete work of fiction for entertainment purposes!"

These fake death reports can be easily shared and spread like wildfire through the social media sites. Internet users should wisely obtain information about such reports from genuine news broadcasting channels and web sites like BBC or CNN.

Meanwhile, Mickey Rourke has been busy filming "Java Heat" as well as his come-back appearance in "Sin City: A Dame to Kill For" which will be released this 2013.
