Mike Tyson Bares it All in a New Autobiography, Cheated on Drug Tests, Rape Sentence and More
Retired professional boxer and former undisputed heavyweight champion of the world Mike Tyson bares it all in a new autobiography.
Tyson's new book titled Undisputed Truth was released on Tuesday. It reveals many scandalous details of his professional boxing career.
Here are some of the shocking and scandalous excerpts as reported by MSN Sports.
Tyson has cheated on quite numerous drug tests. He used to wear a fake penis with clean urine just to pass the tests. "I had to use my whizzer, which was a fake penis where you put someone else's clean urine to pass your drug test," said Tyson. In 2000, he was tested positive for marijuana because he was asked to take the drug test before he was able to put on his fake penis.
Tyson has also revealed that he was intoxicated with cocaine for a large part of his boxing career. He took pot and cocaine just before he walked on to the ring during his fight against Lou Savarese at Hampden Park. He took drugs just before his fights against Danny Williams and Lennox Lewis.
He exposed that he used voodoo so he will not go to prison. Tyson faced rape charges in 1992. Once, he had sought help from a voodoo expert who had given him instructions of the things he need to do to avoid serving jail time. Part of the instruction was to put five hundred dollars in a jar and pee in it, which he was told to keep under his bed for three days. Well, it didn't work because Tyson was still taken to prison.
During his rape sentence in jail, Tyson revealed that he had an affair with a counselor. He claimed he gave her $10,000. "I was having a lot of sex that I felt too exhausted to even work out or go to the gym," said Tyson.
All these shocking revelations and more are featured on the autobiography. Some applaud Tyson for coming out clean. Other people feel extremely shocked about Tyson's confessions. Maybe the one thing we should not forget is how much of an amazing boxer he really was.
