A mash-up video of Miley Cyrus and characters from the hit TV series Breaking Bad went viral on the Internet. The footage was taken from a pivotal scene of a recent episode of Breaking Bad in which the characters, Hank and Marie, watch footage of brilliant-chemist-turned-drug-kingpin Walter White's taped "confession".

The video, which was first seen in Youtube, featured scenes from Miley Cyrus controversial and raunchy performance at the recently concluded MTV Video Music Awards in which she writhed and "twerked" around singer Robin Thicke while singing his song, Blurred Lines.

The viral mash-up video had the title "Hank and Marie Watch the Video Music Awards". It was posted by a Youtube user, Sam Barnett, and currently has 1,944,814 hits.

Breaking Bad is a popular crime drama series in the US that is currently in its fifth season. Created and produced by Vince Gilligan, the show 's location is Albuquerque, New Mexico. The plot revolves around Walter White, played by Bryan Cranston who was also rumoured to be casted as Lex Luthor in the next Superman film, a struggling high school chemistry teacher who was diagnosed with lung cancer. The doctor told him it was inoperable and his cancer was classified as Stage 3.

Walter turns to a life of crime by getting the help of his former student, Jesse Pinkman, who turned out to be a meth drug dealer. Walter's main goal as he "cooks" and manufactures meth is to secure his family's future before he dies. Of course, this was not an easy task since his brother-in-law is a Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) agent who makes it his life's passion to seek out drug dealers.

Parents Television Council condemns Miley Cyrus' VMA performance

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus' VMA performance was criticised by the Parents Television Council for being racist and raunchy. The council condemned Cyrus' sexually-charged performance with Robin Thicke and the entire show.

According to Dan Isett, the watchdog's director of public policy, MTV has been successful in promoting sexually-charged messages to young viewers and uses former child stars like Miley Cyrus. MTV was accused of falsely claiming that the VMA was an acceptable program for young viewers starting at 14 years old.

It was also interesting to know that Billy Ray Cyrus, Miley's father, is a member of the Parents Television Council.
