Miley Cyrus’ engagement ring goes MIA, insider hints on cancelled engagement
Miley Cyrus is known for her eccentric fashion choices but since her reunion with Aussie actor Liam Hemsworth, the newbie coach on “The Voice” has been spotted wearing her engagement ring again. But the pop star was recently seen without wearing her diamond ring in public, inciting rumours of another cancelled engagement.
Hollywood Life reported that Cyrus was seen without the 3.5 carat Neil Lane diamond ring when she arrived at the Los Angeles airport in California on Sep. 30. The singer-songwriter was seen wearing a pair of rainbow-flowered sunglasses, a multicolored polka dot trousers and pink sandals, but her diamond engagement ring was noticeably missing.
The “Wreacking Ball” singer wore her sparkling engagement ring since getting back together with the “Hunger Games” actor in January. The couple has since been seen together in Australia and in California after their highly-talked about reconciliation.
A separate report from The Hollywood Gossip cited sources close to the couple that Cyrus’ busy schedule filming for NBC talent search “The Voice” and Amazon Prime series “Crisis in Six Scenes” is taking a toll on their relationship.
"He’d hoped her Woody Allen TV show might have curbed any desire to go back to her wild stage persona – something that ultimately tore them apart in the first place,” the source said.
"They’ve been having spats and the whole idea that they would get married this summer is completely out the window and Miley wants to go back to what she does best: performing and touring."
The 23-year-old “Hanna Montana” star and the 26-year-old “Independence Day: Resurgence” actor met while filming the movie adaptation of Nicholas Sparks’ novel “The Last Song” in 2010. They have been engaged in 2012 but broke up in 2013.
Despite rekindling their romance, the pair made no public announcement about their wedding, but reports have it that Cyrus is jumpstarting planning their wedding and honeymoon. (Read: Miley Cyrus cancels Bora Bora honeymoon plans with Liam Hemsworth)
