Madonna doesn't have one and at one point Miley considered dropping it. We are talking about surnames! The Disney star has revealed that she was almost planning to shed her father Billy Ray's famous surname in a bid to escape her "kid gone bad" reputation but stopped because of its (surname's)sheer "power."

"I was thinking about dropping the Cyrus and just being Miley but there's something powerful about the fact that my name now is like a household name," the singer told Notion Magazine. "People have this misconception of me that I'm just one of these kids on TV and that now I go off and party and I'm just this ratchet white girl, and I'm not."

The "We Can't Stop" singer who is always in news for her pictures, statements and twerk videos had earlier said that she is behaving just a 20-year-old is suppose to and will always make mistakes. The singer then really went on to say that she lives a hard life and works really hard for a living. "I work really really hard, I'm just in a different environment."

"I'm young and living and in LA which is everyone's dream, you know. I'm living it to the fullest. Rather than taking a blessing and making it a curse, it's just like this is what this name is now," the star added.

Her latest single "We Can't Stop" is already the top most downloaded video on iTunes. The singer is also featured in a music video for rapper Big Sean's yet to be released second album on Aug 27. The single titled "Fire" features a semi-nude video featuring Miley wearing a cropped shirt.

The 25-year-old rapper took to Twitter on explaining why he chose Miley Cyrus. "I got Miley Cyrus for this video because she's somebody who's had a personal evolution as a lot of us have had. Besides all the personal stories I tell in the song, there are so many other ways people can make it through the fire."

" i think Miley did a great job as a metaphor for strong women, being strong person after heartbreak (hence the burning pic that could symbolize her old romance), or maybe even deeper problems but in the end remaining as elegant as a rose," Sean added.

Sean sure has got some brains and what better way than putting the most controversial star in your video. "Fire" is sure to generate some heat soon. Check out here.
