Sir Elton John never ceases to surprise us with his statements. First the veteran artist spoke about Lindsay Lohan and her rehab stint and now the "Sacrifice" singer has called Miley Cyrus as "a meltdown waiting to happen." With more than four decades of experience in the music industry, do you think Sir John could be right?

The singer applauded Miley for her achievements and having two records in top 20 positions at such a young age but he fears that the 20-year-old singer might be heading for a meltdown in future.

"I look at Miley Cyrus and I see a meltdown waiting to happen," he tells the publication. "And she's so young! But she's got two records in the top 20, so who is going to stop her?" Elton John said in an interview with The Australian.

We all know that there is no "stopping" for the "We Can't Stop" singer who has always been in news ever since she turned 20. First it was her haircut, then the racy video she shot for her first single "We Can't Stop" where she makes out with a doll, then her twerking at Robin Thicke's crotch at the MTV Video Music Awards, then her getting naked in "Wrecking Ball" music video and now the break-up news with her long time boyfriend Liam Hemsworth! There is actually no stopping for Miley Cyrus.

The British singer also revealed that he has this uncanny power to predict things for future. "Maybe it's a British thing, but I can spot a car crash before it happens," the singer said adding that he revealed to his friend that Michael Jackson was about to die.

"I was in my dressing room in Las Vegas when they announced that Michael Jackson was playing 50 dates at the O2. I turned to my agent and said: 'He won't do a single one of those,'" he added saying that what him sure of Michael Jackson death was that he was doing drugs for a long time.

Sir Elton John also wants to reach out to Lady Gaga to forewarn her of the impending danger in her life but he says he is unable to connect to her. Lady Gaga is also the godmother of his children.

"With Gaga -- who I love, she's the godmother to our children -- I'd like to be able to talk to her right now, but I can't get through to her. And there are times when you have to listen," he says. He also goes on to cite the example of American singer and songwriter Ryan Adams whom he informed about a car crash but he did not listen

"Sometimes you try and reach out to someone and tell them they're going to have a car crash, like I did with Ryan Adams, Ryan didn't listen to me. He had the car crash, he recovered, and now he's back and on great form," he continues.

Now this is spooky, isn't it? Given that Miley Cyrus and Lady Gaga are so young, they should start taking control of things in her life!
