Miley Cyrus Might End Up In Mexican Jail, Singer Spanks Her Fake Butts With Mexican Flag [SEE VIDEO]

Miley Cyrus could possibly end up spending some jail time in Mexico because of her controversial antics. The "Wrecking Ball" songstress is in trouble with Mexican law after she reportedly showed disrespect to the Mexican flag during her Wednesday night "Bangerz" concert at Arena Monterey. The 21-year-old went on stage wearing huge bums and had one of the backup dancers spank her fake backside with a Mexican flag. Miley's actions did not go well with the Mexican authorities. The social media went into a tizzy after Miley's controversial butt-spanking stunt and many Mexicans were of the opinion that the "We Can't Stop" singer should be fined for showing disrespect to country's national flag. Mexican citizens took to social media to voice their opinions both against and in favour of the singer.

Some of them wanted to have Miley "jailed" for her actions while her fans started Tweeting in her support. Some of the "Smilers" were of the opinion that if the Mexican government did not respect Miley Cyrus, who is an "American treasure," Americans should reciprocate by not showing respect to Mexican immigrants. The matter has been looked into by a Mexican state legislature that has passed orders the country's federal government to fine the songstress for her act, reports Reuters. Miley or her team could be fined up to the equivalent of around $1,200 or be detained for 36 hours, local lawmaker Francisco Trevino revealed to Reuters.

Mexico has strict rules when it comes to showing respect to the country's national symbols like national flag and national anthem. In 2008, Mexican authorities fined singer Paulina Rubio for posing without clothes during her concert and wrapping her naked body in Mexican flag.

Meanwhile, Miley Cyrus' antics did not end here. The singer gulped some water from a bottle and spit it out on her audience during her Mexican concert. Miley has used this antic in her earlier shows too during her "Bangerz" concert. The singer has often stayed in news for her controversial actions on stage which includes wearing scantily clad clothes, twerking, using sexually explicit props and even talking openly about her love for marijuana use.

Miley has previously been banned by Dominican Republican government to perform in the capital city of Santo Domingo on "moral grounds." Cyrus' concert was scheduled for Sept. 13. The daughter of country singer Billy Ray Cyrus is scheduled to perform in Monterey Thursday night, before heading to Mexico City, followed by Guadalajara.
